when I listened to this song he made a hit of in 1962,

well the scenes start to come alive. I could visualise a guy not wanting anyone

but the girl he’d fallen in love with as a young man –

a girl who’d dumped him. When the good Lord played a trick on him

and the tables were turned, well…

The King –  She’s Not You – turned into one of my most enjoyable books to write.

Can’t tell you how many times I listened to this song as the words filled the pages.
