Tika decides to get a puppy for her mother to help her with the horrible grief she’s suffering over the death of her husband. Surprisingly, the breeder brings the whole litter. The little monsters get loose in her house, knock over her Christmas tree, and make a huge mess. Panicked by the furry critter’s – never having had a pet – when one is injured, she’s relieved that the breeder’s handsome son, Noah, shows up to help. Soon, she falls in love with the furballs and finds out there’s a problem. She wants the one he’s earmarked for his own.
When Noah realizes his parents are aging and everyday chores are becoming difficult for them to tackle, he decides to give up his traveling job and work in Carlton Grove. Assisting his father with their latest brood of six, he meets Tika and suddenly his decision to stay takes on a whole new intensity. Could this beauty be the one special woman he’s been searching for? Can he possibly trick her into spending more time with him, using his ownership of the pup she wants?
