The very first actual major road I traveled in life was Route 66, California to Oklahoma. So it has always held a special place in my heart. When looking for a setting for a Romance series, where better than this place I had always loved?
And being an Oklahoma girl, and an OSU Cowboy to the core, a cowboy as a hero? No brainer. (The decision, not the hero!) Always a soft touch for a kid, and a kid with a pony was even better. Finally we needed a little Christmas and everything was set.
