It’s a paranormal story that some might wish could be real for all of us. In fact, maybe it is. Who’s to say that people we’ve lost – those who loved us – aren’t still a part of our world…?
Something to think about. Right? I feel my husband is close, though he passed over three years ago. He pops into my mind at all kinds of times when I need someone to be there for me.
Well, back when I wrote this story, that idea festered in my imagination until I began writing the words. Sometimes, I have to fight hard to bring my visions to life, but in this case, the story flowed right onto the computer screen. I could see Leilani and her prickly little five-year-old ward fighting and yet leaning toward each other. Leilani’s time with Kale in the elevator made me laugh out loud. And all the while, I knew that Pi would be watching out for her. It’s a very likable story, and I was charmed by the end.
A review I Loved! By ~ Loves Reading~
“What an absolutely adorable story. This is a heartwarming tale about a kind young woman who’s had a tough life looking after her disabled and bitter mother. When her mom dies she goes to Hawaii to return her mother’s ashes to her homeland and visit her aunt. She ends up with even more responsibilities that she takes on with love and enthusiasm. Along the way she meets a man with his own problems and they fall in love. This is exactly the kind of story that leaves you with a lovely warm fuzzy feeling at Christmas time. Highly recommended!”
