I’ve been having a great time with my sister who’s visiting here from Manitoba. The time is flying by so fast, my neck’s suffering from whiplash.
It’s funny how we can be apart for a long time and then get together as if it was just a week ago when we last saw each other. We always have so much to talk about, and when the family gossip has been covered, there’s still more to share. Our politics seem to be pretty much the same, and of course, we have solutions to most of the world’s problems… common sense seems to be the main go-to.
From the time she first arrived, we’ve been doing fun things. Enjoying a lot of outings with friends, movies, playing games, puzzles, shopping, restaurants… all the good times that seem to make life worthwhile.
What’s even funnier is that even though she’s been here for almost three weeks, I’ve been writing every morning, finished a book in a month, and have gotten a lot more done as far as the latest story is concerned. Maybe more than I might have accomplished being alone. On the other hand, my promotional stuff… blogs, Facebook, Twittimer, etc has suffered.
Thankfully, the cover for the new story is finished, and I had to share it with you. I’m hoping to have it available on preorder soon. This contemporary romance was a lot of fun to write. I just imagined what folks would do in a horrific storm situation where the water rises so high, it forces them to reach safety in the attic of the house. And then rescue others to join them.
I do have a great sale coming soon and will share it with you all. Until then, take care and be kind to yourself.
